Man sends threatening letters to people from his past while in jail

A New York Mills man faces aggravated harassment charges after New Hartford police say he sent threatening letters while he was in the Oneida County Jail.
Police say 32 year-old Mark Thomas sent letters to people from his past threatening to harm them both physically and financially. Thomas sent the letter while he was in jail for unrelated charges.
Thomas was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford court on Thursday and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
