Man sentenced to 720 months in prison for producing child porn

A Fulton County man was sentenced Tuesday to 720 months in prison for producing and possessing child pornography, according to the United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian.

Nathan Brown, 33, was sentenced to 720 months of imprisonment and a lifetime of supervised release for producing and possessing child pornography images and videos. Brown pleaded guilty back in June.

The court ordered Brown to pay restitution to his victims, forfeit computer equipment, have no unsupervised contact with minors, and to register with the New York State Sex Offender Registry Program.

The US Attorneys Office says that between January 2010 and November 2011, Brown produced still images and videos of three different children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

On March 9, 2012, investigators searched Brown??s home and recovered several computers and smart phones. In addition to the child pornography images and videos actually produced by Brown, the US Attorneys Office says that over 150,000 still images and 1,500 videos containing child pornography, depicting children from throughout the country, were recovered.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice in May 2006 to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
