Man shot in stomach on Syracuse's South Side, police say

A man was shot in his stomach early Sunday morning on Syracuse's South Side, according to Syracuse Police.

Just after 1:30 a.m. officers arrived at Crouse Hospital and met with a 24-year-old man who had been shot in his stomach area.

The victim had arrived to the hospital in a private vehicle and was treated for his injury which does not appear to be life threatening, police said.

He told officers that he was in a parking lot in the 1400 block of South Salina Street when he was shot.

The victim said he didn't see who shot him and wasn't able to provide a suspect description.
