Syracuse Police are investigating a shooting at the corner of Park Street and Mary Street.
It happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the victim, a 43-year-old man, was standing on the corner when an unknown suspect fired multiple shots from a small caliber gun in his direction. One round hit him in the chest.
Witnesses say that a white or gray car was seen at the intersection and sped off after being hit by bullets.
Police think the intended target was possibly the vehicle and its occupants.
The suspect was last seen on Mary Street and Neutral Court, but there is no description of the suspect right now.
The victim was brought to the hospital with a minor, non-life threatening wound.
