Three men are charged with attacking a man at his apartment in DeWitt.
Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies say 41-year-old Clifford Miller, of Caton Drive, was in his apartment Sunday night when he heard a knock at the door. He looked through the peephole and recognized one of the men as an acquaintance, opened the door and let the man inside.
When Miller locked the door, the other two men broke open the door and pushed him out of his apartment and into the hallway.
Miller tried to run away when he noticed two men were armed with knifes. The men grabbed him and Miller was stabbed several times in the head, back, shoulder and hand, causing puncture wounds to Miller's right lung and ribs. The men then took off.
Miller called a friend for a ride to Crouse Hospital, where he was treated. His injuries were not life threatening.
25-year-old Joseph Cummings, of Syracuse, 18-year-old Cyril Swan, of Syracuse, and a 16-year-old are charged with burglary, robbery and assault. They are currently being held in the Justice Center on $100,000 cash bail.
