Syracuse Police are investigating a robbery and assault on the city's near west side.
It happened around 4:35 a.m. Wednesday in front of 230 Merriman Avenue. Police say a 62-year-old man was walking home from work when he was attacked by a man with a gun.
According to police, the suspect punched the victim in the face and took his wallet before taking off. The victim suffered minor injuries, which included a bloody nose.
CNY Central spoke with the victim's daughter later Wednesday morning, who said her father has been released from the the hospital, and does not know who attacked him.
