Man wanted for murder in Kentucky arrested in Watertown

An Indiana man is arrested in Watertown, accused of murdering a man in Kentucky.

State Police and City of Watertown Police arrested Miles. J. Matthews, 27, of 5400 Union Chapel Drive in Coryden, Indiana at 10 a.m Sunday after a traffic stop on North Meadow Street in Watertown.

Matthews was arrested as a fugitive from justice because he was wanted for the murder of a taxi driver on July 17th in Oldham County, Kentucky.

He was driving the victim's car when he was stopped.

Troopers were told by Kentucky authorities that Matthews may be in the area on Sunday.

Matthews will be arraigned and sent to jail locally without bail as a fugitive from justice.
