Man who violently stabbed his wife and her friend to death pleads guilty, will get 46 years to life

Justin Dallas

The Syracuse man accused of murdering his estranged wife and former co-worker in a quiet Liverpool neighborhood pleaded guilty to the crimes Thursday, and will spend the next 46 years to life in prison.

27-year-old Justin Dallas pleaded guilty to all charges related to stabbing 24-year-old Brandy Dallas and her friend -- his former co-worker -- 30-year-old Samantha Rainwater multiple times in Rainwater's house in the village last October.

Dallas also admitted to pushing another woman down the stairs.

Investigators said Dallas was dropped off at the Second Street address early on October 28, and some sort of argument unfolded.

A separate source said that the attack may have been related to a love triangle that developed between Dallas and the two women.

After the stabbings, Dallas stole Brandyâ??s car and drove away.

Police agencies caught up with him when he abandoned the vehicle and jumped into Onondaga Lake.

He pleaded guilty Thursday to avoid a possible sentence of life in prison without parole if the case went to trial.

Dallas will be 73-years-old before he's eligible for parole.

He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
