Man with gunshot wound crashes into tree in Syracuse

Syracuse Police are investigating a crash that happed on the 400 block of Ivy Ridge Road around 11:25 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a Chevy Prizm was headed northbound on Ivy Ridge Road when it left the roadway and stuck a tree.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, was located at the scene and taken to Upstate Hospital to be treated for injuries.

Police say it was later determined that the driver had a gunshot wound to his arm. The wound was determined to be non-life threatening.

The incident is still under investigation.
