Manlius man accused of driving Winnebago drunk, BAC over twice legal limit

A Manlius man was arrested for DWI for driving a Winnebago with blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit on Tuesday.

State Police say the responded to hit and run accident on Interstate 81 in Dickinson, Franklin County. They found that a Winnebago had struck a tractor trailer and kept driving north.

Police located the Winnebago, which was operated by 53-year-old Edward T. Forget, north of the accident.

Police say Forget was intoxicated and had a reportable BAC result of .20%, more than twice the legal limit of .08%.

The tractor trailer driver was able to push a side mirror back into place without damage to the vehicle.

Forget is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was processed and issued tickets returnable to the town of Dickinson court on October 2.
