Maroun Elementary School in Phoenix was on a lockout Tuesday after a youth made a threat of violence toward a family member, according to State Police.
Troopers say they were contacted by school officials and the child has been taken into custody. They say the child had no intention of carrying out the threat, and that his parents are cooperating with the investigation.
Two other juveniles are being questioned in relation to the threat, State Police say.
Troopers stress that there is no danger to students or staff at the school at this time.
The lockout was lifted early Tuesday afternoon.
