Syracuse for a short visit or an extended stay, Armory Square's two newest hotels have you covered.
Marriott's Courtyard and Residence Inn share the same roof, and are set to open at the end of the month.
The multi-million dollar Marriott project has been in the works since March, 2012. Sixteen months, and $27 million dollars later, the hotels are two weeks away from opening 180 rooms on what once was an empty lot, across from Kitty Hoynes.
General Manager Jim Wefers says both hotels offer the amenities customers have come to expect from Marriott.

. "Then there's the customer service. We have a great staff that is local to the area."
"We have a great indoor pool, a large exercise room and we're steps away from Armory Square," He says.
"It's a prime location. One of the things you notice if you're sitting outside is a lot of other hotels, you see their vans dropping people off in Armory Square," says Rich Sykes, of the Inns at Armory Square. "Armory Square is the place to be in Syracuse."
90,000 guests are expected to stay at the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn each year, which will pump close to $20 million dollars into the local economy.
The two hotels will cater to different travelers. The Courtyard by Marriott is a high-end traditional short-stay hotel while the Residence Inn offers larger rooms for those staying longer than five nights.
