Massive melee at Twist Lounge in Syracuse leads to four stabbings, seven arrests

A massive brawl at the Twist Lounge on W. Genesee Street at 11:20pm on Saturday, February 16 left four people with stab wounds and saw several arrests.

Syracuse Police were called to the club when witnesses say a huge fight had broken out. When they arrived, police say there were about 50 people involved in the melee inside the lounge.

Police were met with resistance when they tried to break up the brawl. Additional Syracuse Police officers, plus members of the Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Office and State Police responded to help.

After the fight was broken up, police arrested seven people on several charges, including resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and unlawful assembly.

Police say 21-year-old Danzel Crouch was stabbed in the buttocks and had cuts to his chin and right ear. 21-year-old Terrence Warren was stabbed in both arms, 22-year-old Calvin Warren was stabbed in the hip and had a cut on his forehead and 21-year-old Shawn Adams was stabbed in the left hip and right thigh.

The cause of the fight has not been determined and police say the stabbing victims haven't given any information about who stabbed them.

All the injuries were non-life threatening, according to police.

The Twist Lounge has been a hot-bed of fights and disruptions over the past few months, police say there was a another fight last Friday night.

Police say they will report the Twist Lounge to the New York State Liquor Authority for all of their numerous violations and disturbances.
