Mayor Miner headed to UK as part of U.S. delegation of mayors

Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner is headed to the United Kingdom as part of a delegation of U.S. mayors.

Miner's office says she and four other mayors will leave on Saturday to meet with British officials and business leaders to discuss infrastructure, public-private partnerships and urban leadership.

Miner says she will promote Syracuse as a global city during the trip, which includes stops at 10 Downing Street and Wales.

Other mayors on the trip are Aja Brown of Compton, California; Mick Cornett of Oklahoma City; Javier Gonzales of Santa Fe and Setti Warren of Newton, Massachusetts.

The trip is being paid for by the British government.
