Two men accused in the accidental shooting death of a woman were indicted Thursday by an Onondaga County grand jury.
Deon Farley, 23, is charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon. Shikim Weston, 26, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
It stems from the death of 25-year-old Morgan McMahon of Fairfield Avenue in Syracuse. She was shot back in May inside a minivan along the 100 block of Glahn Avenue on the city's south side and died the next day. Police say McMahon was riding with three other people when the minivan hit a bump in the road and a gun inside went off, hitting McMahon. Police say the four people were just involved in a drive-by shooting and were fleeing the scene when the accident happened.
Farley and Weston were later arrested in connection with the shooting.
