Miss America returns home for 3 day celebration

      Fayettevilleâ??s own Miss America Nina Davuluri will be returning home in November for a three-day homecoming celebration.

      The homecoming festivities start on Saturday, November 16th with an autograph session with Davuluri and a few other Miss America finalists at Destiny USA. Admission to the autograph session is $10.

      On Saturday night, the Oncenter will host a Bollywood-inspired gala dinner. Tickets will cost $150 each or $200 to include a VIP meet-and-greet and photo session before the gala dinner. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Upstate Golisano Childrenâ??s Hospital.

      Other weekend events include the â??Miss America: Live on Stageâ?? show at the Landmark Theatre Sunday afternoon and a breakfast Monday morning hosted by Syracuse Woman Magazine.

      Before coming to Syracuse, Davuluri will stop in New York City on Friday night for a cocktail reception and the official crowning of the new Miss New York 2013, Amanda Mason.
