Missing Oneonta area man found safe in Rome

An elderly man reported missing from Davenport Center, near Oneonta, is found safe in Rome.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, he was found on Route 49 early Thursday morning.

Around 2 am, Oneida County 911 got several calls about a vehicle going westbound in the eastbound lane of Route 49 in the City of Rome.

Shortly after, deputies found 85-year-old Robert Miller, Sr. driving near the East Dominick Street exit.

Miller was last seen Wendesday morning by relatives and was reported missing and vulnerable because of health problems, according to State Police in Oneonta.

Miller was found in good health and was turned over to State Police to be brought to Oneonta.
