Remember Monster Movie Matinee? It comes back to life this weekend.
The show which aired from 1964-1980 is subject of new documentary on CW6 Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
The monsters and the horror come back this weekend. A new documentary about the long history of the locally produced show Monster Movie Matinee airs Sunday at 7:00 p.m. on CW6. Monster Movie Matinee aired Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. on WSTM-TV from 1964 through 1980.
In Monster Mansion Memories, documentary filmmaker Andy Wolf, who is also a photojournalist at CNYCentral, takes an in depth look at the rich history of the show and the memories it made for thousands of Central New Yorkers. "Some of the clips that are in the documentary have not been seen since the show aired in the 60's and 70's, so I think this is going to bring back a lot of memories for people," Wolf said.
The Monster Mansion Memories documentary also features interviews with the late hosts of the show, Alan Miliar and Bill Lape.
DVD copies of the documentary are on sale at The Soundgarden in Syracuse for $16.99.
