      More than 1,000 people pack the Syracuse Style Fashion Show

      Syracuse Style Fashion Show

      Dozens of models in some of the hottest fashions Syracuse area retailers have to offer worked it on the runway right in the middle of Armory Square's Walton Street Thursday evening. The Syracuse Style Fashion Show raised money to benefit the Landmark Theatre.

      Syracuse Style is now in its fourth year, the free fashion event is co-produced by the Downtown Committee of Syracuse and local fashion designer Lisa Marie Butler of Inspired Designs. The event has grown in size each year and this year, the tent and runway will be doubled in size to 80 feet, offering a much longer catwalk and viewing area to accommodate more spectators.

      "This is a unique event," said Lisa Butler, owner of Inspired Designs. "Syracuse Style is a program that brings together the entire downtown community, including retail shops and boutiques, designers, restaurants, salons and other businesses." CBS 5 Anchor Michael Benny hosted the event for the third year, he was joined by Lisa Chelenza of TK-99 radio.
