National Grid customers in the flood affected areas of Central New York will have their billing temporarily suspended and relief efforts continue.
A National Grid spokesperson confirmed Tuesday that customers will not have to worry about their bills as repair work continues for the over 25,000 customers affected.
Neighbors in Little Falls, Mohawk, Herkimer, Lyons, Fort Plain, Oneida, DeRuyter, Truxton and Cuyler will have their billing delayed without penalty.
It was unclear how long this delay would last, and if all National Grid customers in the municipalities would be eligible for the deferment. You can visit National Grid??s website by clicking here.
