Tue, 29 May 2012 19:10:01 GMT — Thereâ??s a new machine that blasts away fat cells forever in less than an hour; the treatment is called coolsculpting.Teresa Setter of REVITALIZE! CNY says coolsculpting melts fat cells away by freezing them. " This cooling device brings the temperature down to 3 or 4 degrees Celsius enough to freeze those fat cells which are more sensitive to the cold and not harm the tissue or muscle tissue or tissue for the vessels," says Setter. Coolsculpting was recently approved by the FDA and is gaining popularity. Setter says the ideal coolsculpting candidate is about ten pounds overweight with stubborn hard to get rid of fat on sides or stomach. "Anything that is pinchable one to two inches one to two inches pinchable fat is enough to draw into the vacuum in between those cooling panels to freeze those fat cells," says Setter. CNY Centralâ??s Brandon Roth tried out the treatment. He says that once the suction device was on, the procedure was pain free and over in less than an hour. Setter says it usually takes two to four months to see results, but the average patient loses anywhere from one to three inches from their waistline. After a few months, your clothes will fit better and you will look better. There are no pills or supplements and as long as you maintain your normal diet and exercise, your long-term results should remain stable. "This is a great alternative to a tummy tuck situation or liposuction and you can be back at the gym the next day," says Setter. If you are curious about the treatment, REVITALIZE! CNY is having an open house from 5:30-7:30pm in DeWitt. Sessions cost $750 each. At the open house, youâ??ll be able to talk to patients and see a live demonstration.
