A New Hartford handyman was arrested after police say he stole from a house he was hired to fix.
New Hartford Police tell CNY Central that 32-year-old Lawrence Mazza was arrested on one count of grand larceny after they say he stole personal items from a home that he was working on. Police say in early April they received a report from the homeowners that some of their possessions had disappeared over the course of several weeks. Police say Mazza had been hired by the homeowners to perform some home repair jobs, and had access to their house at the time of the alleged thefts.
Mazza was ticketed and released, and is scheduled to appear New Hartford Town Court at a later date.
