      New Hartford man facing more than a dozen charges in check scam



      A New Hartford man is arrested after police say he was forging a family memberâ??s signature and making checks out to himself.



      Police arrested 20-year-old Michael A. White on 12 counts of forgery, one count of grand larceny, and petit larceny following the investigation.



      Officers say White stole a family memberâ??s check book, forged the signature, made the checks payable to himself and the cashed then to the sum of $3080.


      White was arraigned and sent to Oneida County Jail on $2,500 bail.
