New Hartford sisters arrested for stealing clothes from Macy's

Two New Hartford sisters are facing charges after an investigation into a theft from a Macyâ??s Store.
New Hartford Police say a loss prevention officer at the retailer witnessed 16-year-old Tania Yangasa and 18-year-old Rachel Yangasa putting clothes in a shopping bag and then tried leaving the store without paying.
The loss prevention officer tried to stop them, resulting in a physical confrontation. The confrontation ended with a struggle on the ground and the loss prevention officer getting slapped, police say. Both of the girls were able to get away.
Officers found Tania Yangasa on Commercial Drive while running from another larceny at the H&M store in Sangertown Square. Tania was arrested and charged with robbery.
Rachel Yangasa was also found and charged with robbery.
Both are being held in the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
