New Turning Stone restaurant taps into the flavors of Central New York

The Turning Stone Casino has a new restaurant that's tapping into the flavors Central New York.

Upstate Tavern will open to the public on Monday, April 15 and has a menu that features dozens of products produced throughout the state.

Another highlight of the new restaurant is the beer selection, which includes Saranac, the Ithaca Beer Company and more local favorites.

Even the restaurant's structure is a salute to Central New York. The windows were reclaimed from the Rome Cable building and recycled barn wood was used to construct the bar ceiling and restaurant walls.

"We're creating something news and something refreshing and something that capitalizes on the best assets in the region: our people, our food and our history," says Ray Halbritter, Nation Representative and CEO of Oneida Nation Enterprises.

Upstate Tavern overlooks the Winter Garden Atrium in the casino. It will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. seven days a week.
