A slew of national and up-and-coming country acts will hit Central New York this summer for the second annual New York Country Jam. The event will run from July 12-14 at the New York State Fairgrounds and will be headlined by Chris Young and Dancing with the Stars winner Kellie Pickler.
Several tribute bands kick the festivities off on Friday, July 12, including Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks tribute bands.
Saturday features country-fusion artist Uncle Kracker and Billy Currington, who has ten top ten country hits to his credit. Sunday has LoCash Cowboys, Kellie Pickler, Easton Corbin and Chris Young.
The full schedule and list of performers can be found here.
The inaugural Country Jam was held in Bouckville, in Madison County, but the organizers say most of the tickets sold were to people in Syracuse. The decision to move the event to the State Fairgrounds makes it more convenient to the majority of ticket buyers.
Tickets are $59 for a day or $99 for the whole weekend, and can be purchased here. Active military and first responders can get tickets two-for-one at the gate.
