Nubz: Happily ever after!

It's been a year since we first told you about Nuba, the dog with no hind feet. He's all grown up and in his forever home---here's a look back

It's been exactly one year since we started telling you about NUBZ, a chow-husky mix puppy rescued from a puppy mill situation, after his stressed mother chewed his hind feet off.

Chow Chow Rescue of CNY arranged the transport, and arranged for his fostering with a woman in Philadelphia who specializes in special needs rescues. Carla Boyd socialized him, and got him into physical therapy, and also arranged for orthopedic boots.

Here's a look back at his journey, and how he's doing now:

February 26, 2017: Nubz is rescued and begins his journey:

May 16, 2017: Nubz is thriving with special care and orthopedic help:

May 21, 2017: Nubz visits us at NBC3, meets fans at Bark in the Park:

June 11, 2017: Nubz is about to be adopted:

June 12, 2017: Nubz is adopted:

Nubz is now living with his family, which includes a chow. He still gets physical therapy, and his boots need to be refitted on a regular basis. His dad has started a Facebook Page, which has thousands of followers. If you'd like to send a card or a message to Nubz:

Thanks to all who've made this a happy ending: Chow Chow Rescue of CNY and its many volunteers, Carla Boyd and her mentor dogs, the vets, therapists and pet orthopedic specialists, 'Dad' James Havlinek, and of course the many of you who contributed to Chow Chow Rescue, to make this all possible. See, there ARE happy endings!
