Nutrition & Health Expo aims to help Seniors live longer & better
If Seniors eat well, they're likely to live longer and happier lives. So says Onondaga County's Director of Nutrition Services. And Maria Mahar says there's help: the county's Office for Aging has a Nutrition and Health Expo for Seniors later this month.
The event is at the CNY Regional Market's 'F Shed' (site of the Senior summer feeding program). on Saturday March 24th, 10am-1pm.
Mahar says Seniors and their caregivers are welcome to learn how eating needs change as we age. Healthy cooking demonstrations and samples, as well as health screenings, exercise classes and a breakfast are planned, along with lots of information.
The Nutrition and Health Expo is free, however the Office for Aging asks for PRE REGISTRATION by Friday March 16th at (315) 435-2362 x4987
