If you like country music and live in Central New York, block out Friday, July 12 through the Sunday, July 14 on your calendars, and bring your cowboy boots.
NY Country Jam is moving from Madison County to Chevy Court at the New York State Fairgrounds.
This year, the three day festival offers a chance to see national recording artists Billy Currington, Uncle Kracker, Love & Theft, LoCash Cowboys, Jason Thomas, Easton Corbin and Chris Young.
Current "Dancing With the Stars" contestant and former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler, and 2010 American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina will also take the stage.
Tickets are $99 for a Weekend Pass, and are available online next Thursday, April 18 at 8:00 a.m. .
The fun gets started Friday, July 12 with what Country Jam organizers hope will be the largest outdoor Country Dance Party in Central New York history.
A dance floor will be put right in front of the stage, where you can shake your boots to tribute bands that will play tunes from Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
NY Country Jam started last year in Bouckville, at the grounds where the Madison Bouckville Antique Festival is held, about 15 miles south of Oneida.
Country-duo Big & Rich headlined the festival, with performances from Gretchen Wilson, Steel Magnolias, and Darryl Worley, and Tracy Lawrence.
