One dead after two-car crash in North Syracuse

Police say passenger in grey Dodge Journey pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating a deadly two-car crash in North Syracuse that closed the intersection of South Bay Road and Church Street for several hours Sunday.

Investigators say a Grey Dodge Journey, driven by Dominic Bellardina was traveling North on South Bay Road when hit a white Toyota Four Runner being, drive Donald Therre. A passenger in the Dodge, identified as 82 year old Geraldine Garner, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other drivers were transported to the hospital and are listed in serious but stable condition.

The impact was so severe that both cars overturned.

North Syracuse Police are still investigating. No tickets have been issued at this time.

The intersection was closed for approximately four hours while investigators examined the scene.
