One hurt in Jamesville crash, 16-month-old baby and other driver ok

A car with a 16-month-old child inside overturned on East Seneca Turnpike Thursday afternoon after being hit while turning onto the road, Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Deputies say.

22-year-old Analeza Jasper, of Jamesville, and a 16-month-old baby were waiting to turn west onto East Seneca Turnpike when they were waived on by a vehicle stopped in the eastbound lane. As the car was turning onto the street, another vehicle passed the stopped car on the right and hit Jasperâ??s car, causing it to overturn, deputies say. That car was driven by 21-year-old Jorden Arsenault, of Syracuse.

Jasper was taken to the hospital for treatment of back and head injuries, but officials say those injuries are not serious. The 16-month-old baby and Arsenault were both evaluated and released from an area hospital.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Jasper was ticketed for driving on the shoulder of a roadway and unlawful possession of marijuana.
