One man dead after shooting on Oneida Street in Utica

Utica Police report a man is dead after a shooting early Wednesday afternoon.

Details are scarce right now, but a police spokesman tells CNY Central that a male was killed in a shooting incident just after 12:30 p.m. The shooting took place at 1551 Oneida Street, near the intersection with Jewett Place.

The Utica Observer-Dispatch reports the victim was shot while inside a gold car parked behind the residence. A possible suspect was witnessed running from the scene.
