Oneonta man arrested for two armed robberies in late October

An Oneonta man faces several charges in connection to two separate robberies in late October.

An investigation by state police led to the arrest of 33 year-old Jonathan Hynes. Investigators say Hynes robbed the Stamford Country Store on October 26 at 10 p.m. and then robbed the Quickway Store in Davenport around 6:30 a.m. two days later.

Hynes is charged with two counts of robbery, grand larceny, burglary, and criminal possession of a forged instrument.

The investigation into these robberies also led to the discovery of additional criminal acts.

He also faces charges of criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hynes is in Otsego County Jail without bail awaiting further action in Delaware County Court.

In addition, 36 year-old Jolene Hynes was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on October 30. She was arraigned in Stamford County Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1000 cash bail and $2000 bond.

She is sets to appear in the Harpersfield Town Court on November 26.
