Onondaga County recycling continues at another facility after recycling plant fire
Crews work to put out hotspots at Syracuse Recycling and Recovery
Tue, 23 Jul 2013 18:34:40 GMT — The Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency (OCCRA) says that while Syracuse Recycling and Recovery in East Syracuse is closed due to a major industrial fire, recyclables sent to the curb in Onondaga County will continue to be recycled. OCCRA says it has a contract with another private material recovery facility, Management Recycle America in Liverpool, which sorts residential recyclables in Onondaga County, before sending them to market to be turned into new products. At this time, all residential recyclables are being processed at Management Recycle America.
