Onondaga woman arrested after troopers say she hosted a drinking party

State Police have arrested an Onondaga woman after they say she hosted a drinking party for several teens.

Troopers were called to the Stetson Circle home of 53-year-old Gail A. Holmes, and found that she had bought the alcohol that six 15 to 16-year-old teens were drinking.

Holmes was charged with six counts of unlawfully dealing with a child and six counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

"This particular case is emblematic of the larger issue of underage drinking and our need for a strong partnership between parents, law enforcement, and society to ensure the safety of our teens and young adults," said State Police Captain Jeffrey Raub. "We rely on good citizens in the community, like the tipster friday night, to bring our attention to parties involving underage drinking, and encourage the public to support these efforts as we head into the holiday party season."
