Oswego Co. man charged with manslaughter, DWI in Mexico crash that killed his brother

A 29-year-old Oswego County man is facing additional charges related to a May crash that killed his brother.

Casey C. Billings, of Parish, is charged with second degree manslaughter and third degree attempted burglary, in addition to DWI, as State Police continue their investigation into the May 8 accident. Troopers say Billings and his brother, 41-year-old Christopher Billings, were fleeing after trying to break in to the Kinney Drug Store in Mexico. Casey Billings was driving the pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he lost control on a curve on State Route 69, hitting several trees.

Christopher Billings died from his injuries.

Casey Billings was arraigned and released. He is due back in court at a later date.
