An Oswego County communications store was a front for an illicit cocaine operation, according to State Police.
Members of the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, Oswego County Drug Taskforce and State Police executed search warrants at Talk to Me Communications at 190 Route 57 in the Town of Schroeppel, as well as at the home of 37-year-old Vernon W. Pedro in the Village of Phoenix. Officials say they found 10 ounces of cocaine, scales, packaging, various pills and $2,420 at the business, as well as another half ounce of cocaine and pills at the Phoenix home.
Troopers arrested and charged Pedro with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Pedro was arraigned and is being held in Oswego County Jail without bail.
