Oswego County man accused of forging prescriptions and stealing blank prescriptions

An Oswego County man is accused of attempting to forge a prescription at several pharmacies over the last two months.

On Saturday deputies arrested 21-year old Cody Calkins, of Fulton, on four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Calkins is accused of attempting to fill a forged prescription at Kinney's Pharmacy in Fulton on June 23, Rite Aid in Hannibal on June 27, Hannibal Pharmacy on July 25, and Wal-Mart pharmacy in Granby on July 27.

Calkins is also accused of petit larceny for allegedly stealing blank prescriptions from Gentle Dental in Schroppel on June 10.

He was arraigned in the Town of Hannibal Court and being held at the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.

Calkins is expected back in court at the Town of Granby Court on August 19th, Town of Hannibal Court on August 20th, Town of Schroeppel Court on August 21st, and Fulton City Court on the 22nd.
