Oswego County man accused of hitting woman

A Williamstown man was arrested on Saturday after being accused of hitting a woman and preventing her from using a phone to call for help.

26 year old Joseph Scheidel is also accused of injuring another victim by throwing a metal pipe at him, and threatening the man by chasing him with a tire iron and metal pan.

He is also accused of causing damage to a Town of Amboy residence following the incident.

Scheidel has been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and more. He was arraigned before a Town of Parish court and is currently in the Oswego County Correctional facility in lieu of bail.
