Matthew Bacon

An Oswego man is charged with DWI after a property damage crash that happened in the Town of Minetto on Saturday.

Sheriffâ??s Deputies say 38-year-old Matthew F. Bacon was driving on County Route 29 when he lost control and drove off the shoulder of the road, hit a ditch, went airborne and hit a utility pole six feet above the ground, breaking it off.

The car then landed in a neighborâ??s yard, causing damage.

Bacon was taken to Upstate Hospital for treatment.

Deputies say unsafe speed seems to be a factor in the crash.
