An Oswego man is accused of raping a woman.

Oswego police say a 20-year-old woman was raped around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after he accepted a ride from a man she just met.

Police say that man, 28-year-old Kevin Larrabee, of 42 West Ninth Street, Apt. 3, was supposed to take her home.

Instead, investigators say, he drove her to the south end of 5th Avenue, a dead end street in Oswego, where he forced her to have sex with him.

Oswego police along with Oswego County Sheriff's deputies searched the area for a vehicle matching the description given by the victim and found the suspect a few hours later.

Larrabee is charged with rape. He is currently being held at the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail. He's scheduled to appear in Oswego City Court on August 25th.

Anyone with information should call the Oswego City Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 342-8201.
