Oswego man dies after losing control of car

An Oswego man is dead after he lost control of his car and hit another vehicle Friday afternoon.

The Oswego Sheriff's office says 55 year-old James Iorizzo was driving south on State Route 104 around 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of his car and crossed into the opposite lane of traffic. Iorizzo struck a Jeep Liberty traveling in that lane.

Iorizzo was transported to Oswego Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Deputies say he was the only occupant of his car at the time of the accident. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

Investigators are still determining what caused the crash.
