Oswego police and fire department investigating possible meth lab, blocks away from Route 481

Crews work at 196 Syracuse Ave. in Oswego Wednesday morning.

A stretch of Syracuse Avenue in the City of Oswego is closed until further notice, as police and fire departments investigate a possible meth lab, just blocks away from Route 481 and the Oswego River.

The call to 196 Syracuse Avenue came in this morning -- and authorities are still on the scene.

For now, Syracuse Avenue -- also known as East 3rd Street -- is closed for one block between South Division Street and Lawrence Street.

We have a crew on the way to the scene. As we learn more information, we will be sure to pass it along to you.
