Oswego police arrested eight people in several recent drug busts.
On August 28, police discovered a methamphetamine laboratory in a car in the parking lot of 137 St. Rt. 104 in Oswego. Police say 26-year-old Joshua Salisbury, 35-year-old Haley Watts and 29-year-old Adam Baker were found with materials used to manufacture meth.
All three are charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.
On September 3, police pulled over a drive in the area of East Bridge St. and East Fifth St. They arrested 50-year-old Michael Miller and 51-year-old Katherine Miller, both of 129 Gere St. in Syracuse. Police say they were in possession of 48 prescription narcotic pills with the intent to sell. They are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
A day later, police executed a search warrant at 106 Sheldon Avenue in Oswego. They say they found 123 individually wrapped bags of heroin and .5 grams of heroin. 31-year-old Patrick Chapman and 27-year-old Ruth Stoutenger were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
On September 6, police executed a search warrant at 35 Mercer Street in Oswego. They say they found 15 illegally possessed prescription pills. 48-year-old Mitchell Latour was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substances in the non-original container.
