Outdoor Syracuse Style fashion show struts across Armory Square

Syracuse's only outdoor fashion show is known for causing a spectacle in Armory Square, and it steps off again Thursday, September 20 at 7:30 pm. The outdoor runway will feature models in outfits from three local designers and 16 downtown retailers in the "Syracuse Style" fashion show. For the second year in a row, CBS 5 Anchor/Managing Editor Michael Benny will emcee the event.

"Syracuse Style brings together everything that is great about downtown Syracuse," said Lisa Butler, owner of Inspired Designs. "The restaurants and bars, the locally-owned clothing and accessory boutiques, the salons, photographers and other businesses all come together as a community during this fabulous evening." "Syracuse Style is the premier fashion event in Syracuse," said Merike Treier, Downtown Committee executive director. "This event highlights one of downtown Syracuse's retail strengths, the many unique clothing retailers located here. You can click here to follow Syracuse Style on Twitter.

There are a select number of VIP tickets available for the event, giving ticket holders access to a pre-show party, special viewing area and drinks and hors d'oeuvres from Empire Brewing Company.

Proceeds from VIP ticket sales benefit the Mary Nelson Youth Day Foundation. This summer, the foundation gave away an estimated 20,000 backpacks. Attendees are invited to donate new or gently used clothing for children and teens to the foundation at the event.
