Phoenix man admits to murdering his sister-in-law
An Oswego County man faces life in prison after admitting he killed a Geddes woman in her home last fall.
Larry N. Frank of Pine Street in Phoenix pleaded guilty Friday morning to second degree murder for the death of Patricia Gryczka.
Onondaga County Court Judge Anthony Aloi told Frank heâ??ll receive the maximum of 25 years to life in state prison.
In November 2012, Frank reportedly confessed to killing Gryczka, his sister-in-law, in her Leslee Terrace home.
Investigators believe Frank strangled Gryczka after a dispute over money. He then put her body in her car and drove to Webb Road in Lafayette, where he dumped her body in a field.
A neighbor saw Frank and called police. Police located Frank a short while later, but he managed to lose police in a chase that took them through parts of Oswego and Onondaga Counties.
Frank was arrested in Lawrence Township, Pennsylvania, later that day after police were alerted that Gryczkaâ??s credit card was used at a Walmart in the area.
Frank was indicted by a Grand Jury Thursday and arraigned Friday morning, where he pleaded guilty. Sentencing is scheduled for April 26.
