Phoenix Police Chief Rod Carr died suddenly at his home this morning. He was 65. Carr joined the village department in 2004 and became its chief in 2006. Carr had spent much of his career in law enforcement as a member of the Syracuse Police Department where he served for years as the departments spokesman before retiring. Before entering in law enforcement, Carr worked in local media, working for local radio stations and as an anchor for channel 9.

Carr is survived by his wife and 2 adult children
