A Delta flight made an emergency landing on Sunday morning at Syracuse Hancock International Airport after the plane experienced technical difficulties.
Endeavor Air Flight 4117, which was carrying 52 passengers, departed from Hancock but then returned to the airport after an in-flight emergency, Airport Executive Director Christina Callahan said.
The plane was heading to Detroit and landed safely. FlightAware shows the plane left Hancock at 9:58 a.m. and returned at 10:30 a.m.
The pilot saw a light in the cockpit that suggested there was a possible issue with the nose gear of the plane â?? a CRJ-200 Bombardier, according to a statement Delta provided about the flight. The plane was taken out of service for inspection and maintenance. Passengers are being put on later Delta flights to Detroit.
