Police arrest a man after late night stabbing in Syracuse

Syracuse Police are investigating a stabbing that happened at about 9 pm Wednesday night on the 100 block of Evans Street.

Responding officers found a 20-year-old man who told them he was arguing with another man when the man stabbed him in the torso.

Officers took a suspect description and began checking the area.

Officers found a man who matched the description on the 700 block of West Belden Avenue and detained him.

After the investigation, police arrested and charged 30-year-old Daniel Hart, of Syracuse, for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim was taken to Upstate for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening.
