Police arrest three that tried to sell drugs to undercover cop in Chenango County

hree in Chenango County were arrested for having nearly a dozen bags of heroin on them after police discovered the drugs during an undercover sting.
Investigators say 28-year-old Ashley Wakefield and 22-year-old Keith Johnson attempted to sell heroin to an undercover police officer in the Town of Norwich. K9 units discovered that Johnson had 10 bags of heroin on him, and Wakefield had a hypodermic needle and prescription drugs.
Wakefield was charged with attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, conspiracy, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is being held in the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
Johnson was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He's also being held in jail on $10,000 bail.
A third man, 23-year-old Andrew Cleveland, was charged with facilitation and was released on an appearance ticket.
